Performance in Mainland Scheme 2019 Call for Proposals

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is now calling for proposals from the Hong Kong arts sector for “Performance in Mainland Scheme 2019”. With aims to broaden the network of local artists and arts groups, and to further promote Hong Kong arts in the Mainland, the Scheme is going to present outstanding Hong Kong performances in Mainland cities in 2019.

This year, HKADC made its debut in supporting Hong Kong performing artists and arts groups to stage their works in various Mainland cities through collaborations with different parties including the China Arts and Entertainment Group in its “Meet in Beijing” Arts Festival, China International Youth Arts Festival, touring at theatres in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and with 1862 Theatre in Shanghai (“Hong Kong Theatre Month”). The collaborations have gained positive feedbacks.

In 2019, HKADC will continue to support the staging of Hong Kong performing arts works in “Meet in Beijing” Arts Festival 2019, China International Youth Arts Festival 2019 as well as Festival Hong Kong 2019 – A Cultural Extravaganza@Shanghai (for details, please refer to Annex). The collaboration platforms will feature eight Hong Kong programmes in Beijing, Shanghai and other Mainland cities, covering drama, dance, music, xiqu and family shows.

Interested parties can refer to the programme details and requirements, and download the Proposal Submission Form from the HKADC website www.hkadc.org.hk. Proposals and related documents must be emailed to [email protected] by 6:00pm on 8 November 2018 (Thursday). Late submission shall not be accepted nor processed. The proposals received will be considered and selected for recommendations by HKADC’s respective art form groups, and to be finally selected by the Mainland organisers and partnering theatres.

For enquiries, please contact Ms Zhang at 2820 1073.
