Hong Kong Arts Development Council’s
New Location at Landmark South, Wong Chuk Hang

Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) will be relocated to Landmark South, Wong Chuk Hang in mid-2023 and start operating its facilities including ADC Artspace, Arts Information Centre and Showcase (an exhibition and performance space).

Members of the Council including Vice Chairman Dr Frankie Yeung, Members Dr Sylvia Chan, Ms Lau Wai-ming and Mr Paulo Pong recently visited the HKADC's new facilities at Landmark South, Wong Chuk Hang.

Vice Chairman Dr Frankie Yeung said, "The arts and cultural facilities in our new premises at Landmark South will unveil a new chapter of the development of HKADC. To mark the memorable occasion (in mid-2023), we will organise an array of opening programmes to bring arts into the Southern district, invigorating the arts and cultural landscape in the area and surrounding communities, and further fostering the development of arts in Hong Kong."

Landmark South is located at the site of former Aberdeen Fire Station. In accordance with the Conditions of Sale, a floor area of approximately 30,000 square feet in the new property was reserved for the government to develop arts space and facilities. The plot, sold in 2016, has been developed into a 31-storey commercial building – Landmark South.

HKADC is entrusted by the government to operate and manage the facilities, including "ADC Artspace (Landmark South, Wong Chuk Hang)" on 6/F and 7/F, which offers 27 visual / media arts studios ranging from 257 to 763 square feet as creative spaces for local artists and arts groups. The applications for tenancy are now in processing and the list of successful applicants will be announced soon. Located on UG/F, "Showcase", with 6-metre floor height and an area of around 5,000 square feet, is a multi-purpose space suitable for arts activities such as exhibitions, performances, meetings and screenings. The "Arts Information Centre", also located on UG/F, marks an important milestone of HKADC's dedication in conserving arts information. The centre archives HKADC's past publications and arts materials for public access through a booking system, while a screening room is also available for visitors to watch video materials. HKADC's permanent office is located on 5/F.
