Professional Attachment at Mori Art Museum 2019 Open for Application

Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) collaborates again with Japan’s Mori Art Museum to launch the “Professional Attachment at Mori Art Museum 2019”. Local potential and experienced arts practitioners and curators can further develop their professional skills and network through the Attachment. It is now open for application.

A 24-week attachment on a full-time basis will be offered from July to December 2019 at Mori Art Museum. The selected applicant will mainly participate in curatorial research, exhibition programming and project coordination in Mori Art Museum. The actual placement period will be finalised between the selected applicant and Mori Art Museum. With the help of Mori Art Museum, the selected applicant will also have the chance to visit other arts and cultural institutes in order to broaden his/her horizon. A bursary of HK$150,000 will be provided to the selected applicant as an allowance for a round trip air ticket, accommodation, transportation, subsistence during the placement period. Applicants must have at least 3 years of paid curatorial / managerial experience in arts and cultural sector.

The said Attachment is part of the Arts Administrators’ Training Programmes which are supported by the Home Affairs Bureau. The Programmes aim at supporting local arts practitioners with different degree of experience to receive professional training in order to nurture future arts and cultural professionals in Hong Kong and to meet the growing needs of arts talents.

Interested practitioners are advised to refer to the specific guidelines and form of application. Both documents can now be obtained from the HKADC Administration Office (10/F, 1063 King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong) or downloaded from the HKADC website: www.hkadc.org.hk. Applications must be submitted and deposited in the collection box at the HKADC Administration Office by 6:00pm on 22 February 2019 (Friday) the latest. Applications submitted by post must be postmarked on or before the deadline. Late submission or submission by fax or email will not be processed.
