Local, Overseas & Mainland Arts Administration Scholarships 2024 Open for Application

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is launching two scholarship schemes, namely “Local Arts Administration Scholarships 2024” and “Overseas & Mainland Arts Administration Scholarships 2024”, to support promising local arts administrators to pursue further studies in Hong Kong, the Mainland and abroad. In addition to expanding their horizons, the scholarship schemes offer local arts administrators opportunities to develop their professional networks, acquire practical knowledge and skills that contribute positively to the sustainable development of Hong Kong arts sector. Both schemes are financially supported by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau.

“Local Arts Administration Scholarships 2024” supports arts administrators who have at least two years of paid arts administration work experience and wish to pursue arts administration related master courses/professional programmes or business administration related professional programmes at local higher education institutions. The intended study programmes should have a duration of one year or longer and should commence within the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. Each scholarship, with a maximum amount of HK$100,000, will cover the tuition fees of the chosen study programme. Around five scholarships are expected to be awarded.

“Overseas & Mainland Arts Administration Scholarships 2024” targets to support arts administrators who possess at least three years of paid work experience in the arts and cultural sector. Successful applicants can pursue arts administration related taught master courses at accredited institutions in the Mainland or overseas. The intended study programmes must commence within the period from 1 August 2024 to 31 July 2025. The maximum value of each scholarship is HK$450,000. It will mainly cover the tuition fee of the chosen study programme, a round-trip flight ticket and subsistence allowance. The final value of the scholarship to be disbursed is subject to the chosen study programme and the studying country/region of the successful applicant. Approximately five scholarships will be awarded.

The scholarship schemes welcome applications from arts practitioners who possess vision on local arts development and are committed to contribute to the Hong Kong arts and cultural communities after completing their studies.
