Arts Studios Open for Lease Application

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is going to launch and operate a new arts venue in the newly built building, Landmark South, Wong Chuk Hang. Aiming at creating more art spaces to foster art and cultural development, HKADC welcomes visual and/or media artists/ groups to submit tenancy application for arts studios of the new art venue.

ADC Artspace (Landmark South, Wong Chuk Hang) is located in the building erected on the land at the former Aberdeen Fire Station site. A floor area of approximately 30,000 square feet is reserved for the art space and art facilities in accordance with the Conditions of Sale where the areas reserved for the Government include but not limited to a multi-purpose exhibition gallery, an arts information centre, visual/media arts studios and a permanent office for the HKADC. HKADC will be entrusted with the operation and management of the above-mentioned government properties, as well as handling leasing matters including invitation to artists/art groups for studio renting. The visual and/or media artists/groups moving in the art studios are expected to enhance the artistic atmosphere around the entire district and promote the art development in the community as well as its surrounding areas.

The first term tenancy of this project provides 27 art studios with a fixed term of two-year tenancy period tentatively from late December 2022. The monthly rent and management fee per square foot are HK$11 and HK$2 respectively. Please refer to the Annex for more details.

Interested applicant can now obtain the application form from HKADC's Office (10/F, 1063 King's Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong) during office hours, or download it from HKADC's website (http://www.hkadc.org.hk).

Completed application form together with the required documents should be delivered to HKADC on or before 6:00 pm on 17 October 2022 (Monday) by means of one of the following methods:

Applications submitted by post will only be accepted if postmarked no later than the above-mentioned deadline. Submission by courier will also be accepted if the pickup date shown on the bill issued by the courier service provider is on or before the above-mentioned deadline. Late applications or applications submitted by means other than the above-mentioned methods will not be processed.
