Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) collaborates again with Japan’s Mori Art Museum to launch the “Professional Attachment at Mori Art Museum 2018”, the attachment provides an opportunity to local potential and experienced arts practitioners and curators to further develop their professional skills and network.
The Attachment will offer one attachment place for 24 weeks on a full-time basis from May to October 2018 at Mori Art Museum. The selected candidate will mainly participate in curatorial research, exhibition programming and project coordination in the Museum. The actual placement period will be finalised between the selected candidate and the Museum. With the help of the Museum, the selected candidate will also have the chance to visit other arts and cultural institutes in order to broaden his/her horizon. A bursary of HK$150,000 will be provided to the selected candidate as an allowance for a round trip air ticket, accommodation, transportation, subsistence during the placement period.
The said Attachment is part of the Arts Administrators’ Training Programmes which are supported by the Home Affairs Bureau. The Programmes aim at supporting local arts practitioners with different degree of experience to receive professional training in order to nurture future arts and cultural professionals in Hong Kong and to meet the growing needs of arts talents.

Interested practitioners are advised to refer to the specific guidelines and the application form. Both documents can now be obtained from the HKADC Administration Office (10/F, 1063 King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong) or downloaded from the HKADC website: www.hkadc.org.hk. Applications must be submitted and deposited in the collection box at the HKADC Administration Office by 6:00pm on 8 December 2017 (Friday) the latest. Applications submitted by post must be postmarked on or before the deadline. Late submission or submission by fax or email will not be processed. Please note the HKADC will not process the application and its related documents with insufficient postage and pay for the relevant postage. Submission by courier is also accepted if the pickup date shown on the bill issued by the courier service provider is on or before the deadline.
