Professional Attachment at OzAsia Festival 2020 Open for Application

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) collaborates with Adelaide Festival Centre (AFC) of Australia for the fifth time to launch the “Professional Attachment at OzAsia Festival 2020”. The Attachment provides an opportunity to local arts practitioners and producers with potentials to further develop their professional skills and network. It is now open for application.

“Professional Attachment at OzAsia Festival 2020” will offer one attachment place for about 24 weeks on a full-time basis from June to November 2020 at the AFC. The selected candidate will mainly participate in festival coordination, artistic programme planning, production, media marketing and promotion of the OzAsia Festival 2020. With the help of the AFC, the selected candidate will also have the chance to visit other cultural institutes in order to enrich his/her attachment experience. A bursary of HK$228,000 will be provided for the selected candidate to cover one economy class return flight ticket (Hong Kong to-and-from Australia), accommodation, transportation, and subsistence during the placement period.

The Attachment is part of the Arts Administrators’ Training Programmes and was first launched in 2016 with the funding support from the Home Affairs Bureau. The past selected candidates were thrilled to have been given the opportunity to take part in the Attachment Programme. Not only did they gain a breadth of practical experience in organising a large-scaled festival, but they were also able to understand the cultural landscape in Australia and benefited from their broadened network and international horizon. For the past selected candidates, please refer to the Annex.

Interested practitioners could refer to the application guidelines and form which are available on the HKADC website: www.hkadc.org.hk or at the HKADC Administration Office (10/F, 1063 King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong). Applications must be submitted and deposited in the collection box at the HKADC Administration Office by 6:00pm on 30 December 2019 (Monday) the latest. Applications submitted by post must be postmarked on or before the deadline. Late submission or submission by fax or email will not be processed. For enquiries, please contact Ms Yeung of the HKADC at 2820 1025 or [email protected].
