ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival Internship 2016 Open for Applications

Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is in collaboration again with ImPulsTanz, world-renowned dance festival in Austria to launch ‘ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival Internship 2016’. The Programme provides an internship opportunity to local potential arts practitioners to further develop their professional skills and network. It is now open for applications.

‘ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival Internship 2016’ will offer one internship place for 12 weeks on a full-time basis from late-May 2016 to mid-August 2016 at ImPulsTanz. The actual placement period will be finalised between the selected candidate and ImPulsTanz. The selected candidate will mainly participate in the administration and coordination of the ATLAS - Mapping Future Talents, a programme allowing young dance makers to intensively deal with contemporary dance, during the Festival period (please refer to Appendix I for details). A bursary of €4,000 will be provided to the successful candidate to cover subsistence during the placement period and one economy class return flight ticket. ImPulsTanz will provide accommodation throughout the internship and complimentary tickets for performances of the Festival for the successful candidate.

The said programme is part of the Arts Administrators’ Training Projects which are supported by the additional provision from the Home Affairs Bureau. The Project aims at supporting local arts practitioners with different degree of experience to receive professional training in order to nurture future arts and cultural professionals in Hong Kong and to meet the growing needs of arts talents.

Interested parties shall refer to specific guidelines and form for applying the internship. Both documents can now be obtained from the HKADC Administration Office (14/F, East Warwick House, Taikoo Place, 979 King’s Road, Hong Kong) or downloaded from the HKADC website: www.hkadc.org.hk. Applications must be submitted and deposited in the collection box at the HKADC Administration Office by 6:30pm on 28 January 2016 (Thursday) the latest. Applications submitted by post must be postmarked on or before the deadline. Late submission or submission by fax or email will not be processed.
