Hong Kong Scholarship on Curatorial Attachment to Public Programmes at Tate Modern 2017　 Open for Application

Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) collaborates with Tate Modern of the UK for the first time to launch the ‘Hong Kong Scholarship on Curatorial Attachment to Public Programmes at Tate Modern 2017’. The Programme provides curatorial attachment opportunity to local potential and experienced curators/ arts managers to further develop their professional skills and network. It is now open for application.

‘Hong Kong Scholarship on Curatorial Attachment to Public Programmes at Tate Modern 2017’ will offer one attachment place for about 22 weeks on a full-time basis from September 2017 to February 2018 in the Public Programme team of the Tate Modern. The actual placement period will be finalised between the selected candidate and the Tate Modern. The selected candidate will mainly participate in the development, planning, delivery and evaluation of the public programmes of the Tate Exchange. With the help of the Tate Modern, the selected candidate will also have the chance to visit other cultural institutes in order to enrich his/her attachment experience. A bursary of HK$168,000 will be provided to the successful candidate to cover accommodation, transportation, subsistence during the placement period and one economy class return flight ticket.

The said Programme is part of the Arts Administrators’ Training Projects which are supported by the Home Affairs Bureau. The Projects aim at supporting local arts practitioners with different degree of experience to receive professional training in order to nurture future arts and cultural professionals in Hong Kong and to meet the growing needs of arts talents.

Interested practitioners are advised to refer to the specific guidelines and form of application. Both documents can now be obtained from the HKADC Administration Office (10/F, 1063 King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong) or downloaded from the HKADC website: www.hkadc.org.hk. Applications must be submitted and deposited in the collection box at the HKADC Administration Office by 6:00pm on 7 April 2017 (Friday) the latest.
