Hong Kong Arts Development Council New Arts Space Open for Leasing Application

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is pleased to announce that ADC Artspace (Pan Asia Centre) is now open for leasing application by local artists and arts organisations from all disciplines.

Since the announcement of “Space Sharing Scheme for Youth”, HKADC has worked closely with Home Affairs Bureau to identify suitable properties and liaised with the landlords concerned on the provision of creative spaces at a concessionary rate for local artists and arts organisations. Following the launch of ADC Artspace (Po Shau Centre) earlier this year, HKADC now introduces the second arts space project in Kwun Tong District namely ADC Artspace (Pan Asia Centre). This project would not have been made possible without the generous sponsorship of Sino Group to lease the space at concessionary rate to HKADC and the funding support of the Home Affairs Bureau on the operation costs.

The first tenancy of this new project will last for two years and ten months, commencing from mid December 2018. The monthly rental is HK$4.5 per sq. ft. and the existing monthly management fee is HK$2.5 per sq. ft. HKADC will also provide fitting-out allowance to the selected tenants of three large-sized studios to carry out basic fitting-out work. Please refer to Annex for more details.

HKADC launched the Arts Space Scheme in 2014 and the scheme has been well received by the arts community. With the opening of ADC Artspace in Pan Asia Centre as well as other arts space projects under planning, more and more arts practitioners will be benefitted.

Artists and arts organisations interested in the ADC Artspace (Pan Asia Centre) can now obtain application guidelines and application form from the HKADC Administration Office (10/F, 1063 King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong) during office hours, or download these documents from HKADC’s website: www.hkadc.org.hk. Completed application (including application form, supplementary information and all supporting documents) must be deposited into the collection box located at the above address by 6:00pm on 5 September 2018 (Wednesday) at the latest. Application by post will only be accepted if the postmark date is no later than the deadline. Submission by courier will only be accepted if the pick-up date shown on the courier’s order form is no later than the deadline. ADC Artspace (Pan Asia Centre)

-There are three studios for co-tenant artists and arts organisations from different disciplines. The tenancy term is two years and ten months from 17 December 2018 to 16 October 2021. Fitting-out Allowance would be provided for tenants at HK$150,000 in maximum per studio. Fitting-out expenses will be reimbursed on actual expenditure basis after approval.
