HKADC Congratulates
Local Arts Groups Selected for China National Arts Fund

The China National Arts Fund announced yesterday the list of funded projects in 2022. Nine projects from Hong Kong have been selected for the first time, covering six stage art projects and three fine art projects across drama, multi-disciplinary, xiqu and arts talents incubation programmes. Recipients range from individual artists, small and medium sized arts groups to flagship arts organisations.

Dr Wong Ying-wai, Wilfred, Chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC), extends heartfelt congratulations to all selected arts groups and artists, “The opening up of the China National Arts Fund to applications from Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions last year provided a wider scope of development for our artists and arts groups. This year, local projects are first-ever selected, representing the national support to Hong Kong’s arts and cultural development and at the same time, offering favourable conditions for Hong Kong to become an East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange.

To develop Hong Kong into an East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange as stated in the National 14th Five-Year Plan, HKADC will fully support and work in line with the Government's strategies of arts and cultural development, nurturing local arts practitioners and arts groups and promoting cultural exchanges to enable excellent Hong Kong arts to gain a foothold in the international arts arena.
