Arts Administration Scholarships Open for Application

With the funding support from the Home Affairs Bureau, the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) launches the following scholarship schemes to support local promising arts administrators to further their studies in Hong Kong and abroad in order to strengthen their professionalism.

(1) Local Arts Administration Scholarships 2015
To support arts administrators who wish to pursue master courses or professional programmes in relation to arts administration at local universities or tertiary institutions. The intended programmes must commence within the period from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016. Each scholarship will cover 70% of the tuition fees up to a maximum amount of HK$72,000. Around six local scholarships will be awarded.

(2) Overseas Arts Administration Scholarships 2015
To support arts administrators who wish to pursue taught master courses in relation to arts administration at overseas accredited institutions. The intended programmes must commence within the period from 1 September 2015 to 31 August 2016. Around six overseas scholarships (with a bursary up to HK$450,000 each) which cover tuition fee, subsistence allowance and a round-trip flight ticket will be awarded.

(3) HKADC UAL Scholarships 2015/16
To support arts administrators who undertake one of the two designated UAL taught master courses: Master in Arts in Media Communication and Critical Practice (London College of Communication) or Master in Arts in Culture Criticism and Curation (Central Saint Martins) which commence in September 2015 and January 2016 respectively. Three scholarships will be awarded. Each awardee will receive a bursary of £25,000 to cover the tuition fee, allowances on subsistence and airfare.

Interested applicants shall refer to specific guidelines and forms for respective scholarship schemes. Documents can now be obtained from the HKADC Administration Office (14/F, East Warwick House, Taikoo Place, 979 King’s Road, Hong Kong) or downloaded from the HKADC webpage. Applications must be submitted and deposited in the collection box at the HKADC Administration Office by 6:30 pm on 27 March 2014 (Friday). Applications submitted by post must be postmarked on or before the deadline. Late submission or submission by fax or electronic mail will not be processed.
