Arts Administration Scholarships 2019 (Local/Overseas & Mainland) Open for Application

Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is launching two scholarship schemes, namely “Local Arts Administration Scholarships 2019” and “Overseas & Mainland Arts Administration Scholarships 2019”, to support promising local arts administrators to further their studies in Hong Kong, the Mainland and abroad in order to strengthen their professionalism. Both schemes are supported by funding from the Home Affairs Bureau.

“Local Arts Administration Scholarships 2019” are intended to support arts administrators who wish to pursue master courses/ professional programmes in relation to arts administration or business administration related professional programmes at local universities or tertiary institutions. The intended study programmes must commence within the period from 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020. Each scholarship will cover tuition fees of the chosen programme with the maximum amount of HK$90,000. Around five local scholarships will be awarded.

“Overseas & Mainland Arts Administration Scholarships 2019” are intended to support arts administrators who wish to pursue taught master courses in relation to arts administration at overseas or Mainland accredited institutions. The intended study programmes must commence within the period from 1 August 2019 to 31 July 2020. Around four overseas scholarships, with a bursary up to HK$450,000 each which covers tuition fee, subsistence allowance and a round-trip flight ticket, will be awarded.

Interested practitioners are advised to refer to the guidelines and application form available at the HKADC Administration Office (10/F, 1063 King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong) or the HKADC website: www.hkadc.org.hk. Applications must be submitted and deposited in the collection box at the HKADC Administration Office by 6:00pm on 15 February 2019 (Friday) the latest. Applications submitted by post must be postmarked on or before the deadline. Late submission or submission by fax or email will not be processed.
