HKADCSkip to contentThe Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is pleased to receive the support of the arts community and completed the second term tenancy recruitment of “ADC Artspace”. All 17 arts studios are leased out and 26 visual/media artists have moved in.
The combination of artists in the second term tenancy is in great diversity as in the first term, involving practitioners from different arts disciplines such as painting, photography, sculpture, installation, book art, ceramic, mixed media, woodwork, video, etc. The mix consists of experienced artists as well as emerging artists with high potential. The young artists not only can create and practise in their own studios rented at concessionary rates but they can also exchange with experienced artists, get inspired to create more quality artworks. We believe that this synergy could enhance the development of their arts profession and promote local arts development.
Many large-scale and international arts events such as Art Basel and Art Central will be held in this March. To contribute to this extravaganza, over 10 arts studios of “ADC Artspace” will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on 23rd March (Thursday). This event is part of the programmes of Art Basel organised by South Island Cultural District. Public members can meet the artists and get to know their creative ideas, sharing the experience of their creation. All parties are welcomed.

Details of the open day are also given in the “ADC Artspace” website at www.artspace.hk.About “ADC Artspace” Established in 2014, “ADC Artspace” located on 12/F, Genesis, 33-35 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen is the first arts space project of HKADC. It provides 17 visual/media arts studios in concessionary rent.
The project is made possible by the generous support of Hip Shing Hong (Holdings) Company Ltd., which has leased the space with below-market rate to HKADC, and the subsidy provided by the Home Affairs Bureau.
