The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) collaborates with Adelaide Festival Centre (AFC) of Australia again to launch the “Professional Attachment at OzAsia Festival 2025” (Attachment Programme). The Attachment Programme provides an overseas training opportunity to local potential arts administrators and producers to further develop their professional skills and network. It is now open for application.
The Attachment Programme will offer one attachment place for about 24 weeks on a full-time basis within the period of June to mid-December 2025 at AFC. The successful applicant will mainly participate in festival coordination, artistic programme planning, production, marketing and promotion of the OzAsia Festival 2025. With the help of AFC, the successful applicant will also have the chance to visit other cultural institutes in order to enrich his/her attachment experience. A bursary of up to HK$228,000 will be provided for the successful applicant to cover one economy class return flight ticket (Hong Kong to-and-from Australia), accommodation, transportation, and subsistence during the placement period.
Inaugurated in 2016, the Attachment Programme is part of the Arts Administrators’ Training Programmes supported by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau. The past successful applicants were thankful to have been given the opportunity to take part in the Attachment Programme. Not only did they gain a breadth of practical experience in organising a large-scale festival, but they were also able to understand the cultural landscape in Australia and benefited from their broadened network and international horizon.
