Survey on Arts Subjects in 334 Curriculum

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) conducted “Survey on Arts Subjects in 334 Curriculum: Arts Teachers” in 2010. The aims of this survey are as follows:

• To understand factors that will be reckoned by schools during the launch of arts subjects under the new 334 curriculum through arts teachers, the elements such as considerations of subject selection by students, teacher’s experiences, and arrangements related to school-based curriculums.
• To collect the views of music and visual arts teachers on the development of arts education, as the HKADC’s reference in promoting arts education and popularizing arts.

Upon compiling the findings, the HKADC has made recommendations from various perspectives, such as, school level, Education Bureau as well as the HKADC, and invited stakeholders to express their views accordingly.
