Hong Kong Annual Arts Survey 2009/10

The Hong Kong Annual Arts Survey 2009/2010 collected data on the performing arts programmes staged in 41 venues under 21 major performing facilities, visual arts exhibitions held in 217 different venues, and film arts programmes screened in 29 different venues between April 2009 and March 2010, aiming to provide comprehensive statistics for the art sector by analyzing the distribution of the programmes, the ticket price, the attendance, the box office records and the presenters/production companies of these programmes/exhibitions/screening events. Since 2009/10, on top of dance, theatre, music and xiqu, art forms classification of performing arts has been extended to variety shows (e.g. multimedia and pop shows). Data collected in the previous years are analyzed according to the new classification.
