Project Grant Adjudication Report
(For applications received between 1 July 2020 and 31 December 2020)

HKADC received 428 applications in this round of Project Grant application. Professionals in the arts field were invited to be examiners to adjudicate and select applications. In the end, HKADC provided 138 grants totaling $19,556,100, ranging in size from $6,700 to $775,300. In general, the success rate is 32 %. Below are the reports of various art forms.

Music
56 applications were received and out of them, 52 applications were processed. 20 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 14 applications (including 4 performances, 4 art education and promotion projects and 6 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,792,200. The success rate is 27%.

Dance
19 applications were received and out of them, 17 applications were processed. 19 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 5 applications (including 2 performances, 2 arts education/promotion and 1 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,286,900. The success rate is 29%.

Cross/Multi-disciplinary Arts
39 applications were received and all applications were processed. 24 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 8 applications (including 3 publications, 1 exhibition, 1 community arts promotion, 1 arts education and 2 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,261,200. The success rate is 21%.

Xiqu
24 applications were received and out of them, all applications were processed. 9 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 9 applications (including 8 performances and 1 arts education application) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,070,100. The success rate is 38%.

Drama
28 applications were received and all applications were processed. 5 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 11 applications (including 6 performances, 3 community arts promotion, 1 arts education and 1 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,782,000. The success rate is 39%.

Literary Arts
68 applications were received and out of them, 65 applications were processed. 41 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 22 applications (including 16 publications, 4 arts education / arts promotion/community arts, 1 creative writing project and 1 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,632,000. The success rate is 34%.

Film and Media Arts
53 applications were received and out of them, 52 applications were processed. 15 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 9 applications (including 1 film production, 2 audience building projects, 5 media arts creation projects, and 1 media arts emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $2,695,300. The success rate is 17%.

Visual Arts
103 applications were received and out of them, 94 applications were processed. 22 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications. 

In the end, a total of 30 applications (including 19 exhibitions, 4 research/ archival/ critique/ publication projects, 5 audience building projects and 2 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,961,500. The success rate is 32%.

Cultural Exchange Grant
38 Cultural Exchange applications were received (5 Trial version applications and 33 General version applications), and out of them, 34 applications were processed (4 Trial version applications and 30 General version applications). 6 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 30 applications (including 4 Trial version, 26 General version) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $6,074,900. The success rate of Trial version is 80%, while the success rate of General version is 79%.
