Project Grant Adjudication Report
(For applications received between 1 January 2019 and 2 July 2019)

HKADC received 315 applications in this round of Project Grant application. Professionals in the arts field were invited to be examiners to adjudicate and select applications. In the end, HKADC provided 185 grants totaling $20,969,100, ranging in size from $5,900 to $496,600. In general, the success rate is 59 %. Below are the reports of various art forms.

Music
28 applications were received and out of them, 27 applications were processed. 13 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 14 applications (including 7 performances, 3 art education and promotion and 4 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,970,500. The success rate is 52%.

Dance
10 applications were received and out of them, 9 applications were processed. 10 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 7 applications (including 2 performances, 1 arts education, 3 arts promotion/community arts and 1 publication applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,321,300. The success rate is 78%.

Drama
15 applications were received and out of them, 12 applications were processed. 5 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 11 applications (including 5 performances, 3 arts education and promotion, 1 publication and 2 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $2,353,300. The success rate is 92%.

Xiqu
11 applications were received and out of them, all applications were processed. 6 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 8 applications (including 4 performances, 1 arts education, 2 arts education/ promotion and 1 publication applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,077,900. The success rate is 73%.

Literary Arts
46 applications were received and out of them, all applications were processed. 41 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 35 applications (including 29 publications, 4 community arts promotion/ arts education, 1 research/ archiving/ critique project and 1 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $2,044,400. The success rate is 76%.

Visual Arts
50 applications were received and out of them, 44 applications were processed. 18 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 31 applications (including 13 exhibitions, 7 research/ archival/ critique/ publication projects, 2 audience building projects and 9 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $2,641,600. The success rate is 70%.

Film and Media Arts
38 applications were received and out of them, 36 applications were processed. 15 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 12 applications (including 3 film production, 2 animation production, 3 film arts education and promotion, 1 media arts creation, 1 media arts promotion and 2 film emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $2,976,300. The success rate is 33%.

Cross/Multi-disciplinary Arts
19 applications were received and out of them, 17 applications were processed. 16 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 8 applications (including 1 community arts promotion, 2 performances, 1 performance and exhibition, 1 exhibition, 1 publication and 2 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,151,300. The success rate is 47%.

Cultural Exchange Grant
98 applications were received and out of them, 87 applications were processed. 9 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 59 applications were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $5,432,500.  The success rate is 68%.
