Project Grant Adjudication Report
(For applications received between 4 July 2018 and 31 December 2018)

HKADC received 316 applications in this round of Project Grant application. Professionals in the arts field were invited to be examiners to adjudicate and select applications. In the end, HKADC provided 131 grants totaling $20,436,600, ranging in size from $5,500 to $500,000. In general, the success rate is 41%. Below are the reports of various art forms.

Music
31 applications were received and out of them, 29 applications were processed. 15 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 14 applications (including 5 performances, 3 art education and promotion, 2 publications and 4 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,967,900. The success rate is 48%.

Dance
16 applications were received and out of them, 14 applications were processed. 13 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 6 applications (including 4 performances, 1 arts education and promotion and 1 publication applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,212,500. The success rate is 43%.

Drama
18 applications were received and out of them, 16 applications were processed. 5 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 12 applications (including 9 performances, 2 publications and 1 emerging artists scheme application) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $2,209,000. The success rate is 75%.

Xiqu
24 applications were received and out of them, all applications were processed. 6 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 6 applications (including 2 performances, 3 education, 1 community arts promotion/ arts education and publication applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,174,700. The success rate is 25%.

Literary Arts
57 applications were received and out of them, 54 applications were processed. 45 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 16 applications (including 10 publications, 3 community arts promotion/ arts education, 1 research/ archival/ critique project, 1 creative writing and 1 translation applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,300,000. The success rate is 30%.

Visual Arts
67 applications were received and out of them, 53 applications were processed. 18 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 19 applications (including 6 exhibitions, 6 research/ archival/ critique/ publication projects, 1 audience building project and 6 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $2,071,900. The success rate is 36%.

Film and Media Arts
25 applications were received and out of them, 24 applications were processed. 15 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 12 applications (including 4 film production, 1 animation production, 1 film arts promotion, 2 film arts education, 1 media arts creation, 1 media arts promotion, 1 film emerging artists scheme and 1 media arts emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $2,992,900. The success rate is 50%.

Cross/Multi-disciplinary Arts
18 applications were received and out of them, 16 applications were processed. 19 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 6 applications (including 1 arts education and promotion, 1 performance, 2 exhibitions, 1 publication and 1 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,173,000. The success rate is 38%.

Cultural Exchange Grant
60 applications were received and out of them, 54 applications were processed. 8 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 40 applications were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $6,334,700. The success rate is 74%.
