Project Grant Adjudication Report
(For applications received between 4 January 2017 and 30 June 2017)

HKADC received 332 applications in this round of Project Grant application. Professionals in the arts field were invited to be examiners to adjudicate and select applications. In the end, HKADC provided 97 grants totaling $12,255,000, ranging in size from $16,600 to $453,300.  In general, the success rate is 29%. Below are the reports of various art forms.

Music
16 applications were received and processed. 14 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 7 applications (including 6 performances and 1 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $917,000. The success rate is 44%.

Dance
12 applications were received and processed. 8 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 3 applications (including 1 performance, 1 arts education and promotion and 1  publication applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $639,900. The success rate is 25%.

Drama
17 applications were received and processed. 5 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 9 applications (including 3 arts education / community arts promotion, 3 performances and 3 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,093,800. The success rate is 53%.

Xiqu
17 applications were received and out of them, 16 applications were processed. 6 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 7 applications (including 3 performances, 3 arts education and promotion and 1 publication applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,179,400. The success rate is 44%.

Literary Arts
64 applications were received and out of them, 59 applications were processed. 37 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 14 applications (including 10 publications, 2 community arts promotion / arts education and 2 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $980,500. The success rate is 24%.

Visual Arts
66 applications were received and out of them, 64 applications were processed. 21 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 20 applications (including 7 exhibitions, 4 publications, 1 community arts development, 1 arts education and 7 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,450,500. The success rate is 31%.

Film and Media Arts
36 applications were received and out of them, 31 applications were processed. 15 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 7 applications (including 1 film production, 1 film arts promotion, 1 film education, 1 research / archival / critique / publication project, 1 media arts creation, 1 media arts promotion and 1 film emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $2,029,600. The success rate is 23%.

Cross/Multi-disciplinary Arts
22 applications were received and out of them, 20 applications were processed. 20 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 3 applications (including 1 exhibition and performance, 1 community arts promotion and 1 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $569,300. The success rate is 15%.

Cultural Exchange Grant
82 applications were received and out of them, 73 applications were processed. 6 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 27 applications were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $3,395,000. The success rate is 37%
