Project Grant Adjudication Report
(For applications received between 1 July 2016 and 3 January 2017)

HKADC received 322 applications in this round of Project Grant application. Professionals in the arts field were invited to be examiners to adjudicate and select applications. In the end, HKADC provided 102 grants totaling $12,436,400, ranging in size from $15,200 to $500,000.  In general, the success rate is 32%. Below are the reports of various art forms.

Music
26 applications were received and processed. 13 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 7 applications (including 4 performances, 1 arts education and promotion, 1 research project and 1 emerging artists scheme application) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $994,100. The success rate is 27%.

Dance
12 applications were received and processed. 12 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 5 applications (including 3 performances / film productions, 1 arts education and promotion and 1 emerging artists scheme application) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $756,700. The success rate is 42%.

Drama
40 applications were received and out of them, 37 applications were processed. 8 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 8 applications (including 2 performances, 1 general project, 1 publication and research / archival / critique project and 4 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $815,500. The success rate is 22%.

Xiqu
18 applications were received and out of them, 16 applications were processed. 6 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 7 applications (including 3 performances, 3 arts education and promotion and 1 publication application) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,089,100. The success rate is 44%.

Literary Arts
57 applications were received and out of them, 52 applications were processed. 32 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 19 applications (including 15 publications, 3 community arts promotion / arts education and 1 emerging artists scheme application) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $988,100. The success rate is 37%.

Visual Arts
59 applications were received and out of them, 57 applications were processed. 21 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 17 applications (including 4 exhibitions, 7 publications, 1 critique project and 5 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $1,391,500. The success rate is 30%.

Film and Media Arts
32 applications were received and out of them, 31 applications were processed. 15 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 8 applications (including 3 film productions, 2 film arts promotion activities, 1 film education activity, 1 media arts promotion activity and 1 film emerging artists scheme application) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $2,346,800. The success rate is 26%.

Cross/Multi-disciplinary Arts
19 applications were received and out of them, 18 applications were processed. 20 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 4 applications (including 1 performance, 1 exhibition, 1 general project and 1 emerging artists scheme application) were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $594,200. The success rate is 22%.

Cultural Exchange Grant
59 applications were received and out of them, 55 applications were processed. 8 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 27 applications were supported by HKADC with a total grant of $3,333,600. The success rate is 49%.
