Project Grant Adjudication Report
(For applications received between 1 July 2015 and 31 December 2015)

HKADC received 298 applications in this round of Project Grant application with total amount sought $34,897,072. Professionals in the arts field were invited to be examiners to adjudicate and select applications.  In the end, HKADC provided 115 grants totaling $11,071,900, ranging in size from $5,800 to $420,000.  In general, the success rate is 39%.  Below are the reports of various artforms.

Music
34 applications were received and out of them, 30 applications were processed.  27 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 8 applications (including 5 performances, 1 arts education and promotion, 1 general cultural exchange and 1 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $928,900.  The success rate is 27%.

Dance
21 applications were received and out of them, 20 applications were processed.  18 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 8 applications (including 4 performances, 1 publication, 1 general cultural exchange, 1 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao and 1 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $888,100.  The success rate is 40%.

Drama
54 applications were received and out of them, 52 applications were processed.  34 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 16 applications (including 1 publication, 5 emerging artists scheme and 10 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $2,785,200.  The success rate is 31%.

Xiqu
16 applications were received and out of them, 13 applications were processed.  8 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 11 applications (including 3 performances, 5 arts education and promotion and 3 publications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of 1,089,600.  The success rate is 85%.

Literary Arts
62 applications were received and out of them, 55 applications were processed.  41 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 36 applications (including 27 publications, 1 community arts promotion, 2 arts education, 1 cultural exchange, 1 translation and 4 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $1,324,000.  The success rate is 65%.

Visual Arts
57 applications were received and out of them, 56 applications were processed. 49 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 15 applications (including 4 exhibitions, 2 publications, 4 general cultural exchange, 3 emerging artists scheme and 2 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $1,641,500.  The success rate is 27%.

Film and Media Arts
35 applications were received and processed, including 29 film and 6 media arts applications. 17 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 13 applications (including 3 film production, 1 film arts education activity, 4 film arts promotion activities, 1 media arts promotion activity, 1 screenwriting project, 2 publications and 1 film emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $1,898,600.  The success rate is 37%.

Cross/Multi-disciplinary Arts
19 applications belonging to cross/multi-disciplinary arts were received and out of them, 17 applications were processed. 22 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 8 applications (including 1 arts education, 3 performances, 1 film production, 2 emerging artists scheme and 1 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $516,000.  The success rate is 47%.
