Project Grant Adjudication Report
(For applications received between 1 January 2015 and 30 June 2015)

HKADC received 281 applications in this round of Project Grant application. Professionals in the arts field were invited to be examiners to adjudicate and select applications.  In the end, HKADC provided 124 grants totaling $13,687,434, ranging in size from $5,900 to $500,000.  In general, the success rate is 44%.  Below are the reports of various artforms.

Music
30 applications were received and out of them, 26 applications were processed. 24 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 10 applications (including 6 performance, 1 arts education and promotion, 1 general cultural exchange and 2 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $1,201,800. The success rate is 38%.

Dance
28 applications were received and out of them, 27 applications were processed.  29 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 11 applications (including 2 performance, 1 arts education and promotion, 2 general cultural exchange, 4 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao and 2 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $1,072,600. The success rate is 41%.

Drama
47 applications were received and out of them, 45 applications were processed. 17 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 18 applications (including 2 performance, 1 arts education and promotion, 4 emerging artists scheme, 1 general cultural exchange and 10 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $3,317,100. The success rate is 40%.

Xiqu
19 applications were received and processed. 18 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 12 applications (including 4 performance, 3 arts education and promotion, 1 research and archival project, 1 publication, 2 general cultural exchange and 1 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of 1,984,000. The success rate is 63%.

Literary Arts
39 applications were received and out of them, 38 applications were processed. 31 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 26 applications (including 24 publications, 1 arts education and 1 arts community promotion) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $822,300. The success rate is 68%.

Visual Arts
70 applications were received and out of them, 65 applications were processed. 46 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 32 applications (including 10 exhibitions, 8 publications, 1 arts education, 1 research project, 1 critique project, 5 general cultural exchange, 3 emerging artists scheme and 3 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $2,233,500. The success rate is 49%.

Film and Media Arts
37 applications were received and out of them, 35 applications were processed, including 25 film and 10 media arts applications. 20 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 10 applications (including 3 film production, 1 film arts promotion activity, 1 media arts production activity, 4 media arts promotion activity and 1 film emerging artists scheme projects were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $2,714,834. The success rate is 29%.

Cross/Multi-disciplinary Arts
11 applications belonging to cross/multi-disciplinary arts were received and out of them, 10 applications were processed. 23 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 5 applications (including 3 performance and 2 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $341,300. The success rate is 50%.
