Project Grant Adjudication Report
(For applications received between 1 July 2014 and 31 December 2014)

HKADC received 297 applications in this round of Project Grant application. Professionals in the arts field were invited to be examiners to adjudicate and select applications.  In the end, HKADC provided 103 grants totaling $8,941,800, ranging in size from $10,800 to $500,000.  In general, the success rate is 35%.  Below are the reports of various artforms.

Music
41 applications were received and out of them, 38 applications were processed. 21 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 8 applications (including 4 performance, 1 arts education and promotion, 1 general cultural exchange, 1 research/archival/critique/publication and 1 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $763,400. The success rate is 21%.

Dance
29 applications were received and out of them, 28 applications were processed.  21 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 13 applications (including 3 performance, 2 arts education and promotion, 1 publication, 4 general cultural exchange, 2 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao and 1 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $1,077,600. The success rate is 46%.

Drama
48 applications were received and out of them, 44 applications were processed. 12 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 10 applications (including 1 arts education and promotion, 4 emerging artists scheme, 1 general cultural exchange and 4 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $1,238,300. The success rate is 23%.

Xiqu
12 applications were received and out of them, 11 applications were processed. 5 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 6 applications (including 2 performance and 4 arts education and promotion projects) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $848,500. The success rate is 55%.

Literary Arts
44 applications were received and processed. 28 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 27 applications (including 20 publications, 3 creative writing, 1 arts education, 2 arts community promotion and 1 research/archival/critique projects) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $1,054,700. The success rate is 61%.

Visual Arts
78 applications were received and out of them, 64 applications were processed. 35 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 24 applications (including 10 exhibitions, 4 publications, 4 general cultural exchange, 3 emerging artists scheme and 3 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $1,562,600. The success rate is 38%.

Film and Media Arts
23 applications were received and processed. 13 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 6 applications (including 2 film production, 2 film arts education and promotion activity, 1 media arts education and community promotion activity and  1 film emerging artists scheme projects were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $1,866,500. The success rate is 26%.

Cross/Multi-disciplinary Arts
22 applications belonging to cross/multi-disciplinary arts were received and out of them, 21 applications were processed. 30 examiners were invited in the adjudication of the applications.

In the end, a total of 9 applications (including 1 performance, 1 arts education and promotion, 3 general cultural exchange, 1 cultural exchange among HK, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao and 3 emerging artists scheme applications) were supported by the HKADC with a total grant of $630,200. The success rate is 43%.
