WU Yin Ching

Currently the Assistant Professor of the Language Centre in Hong Kong Baptist University, Besides setting up the inaugural University Literary Awards, Ms Wu also hosts the Noah's Ark of Poetry website of the University Poetry Society, which stimulates literary discussions and creative writing among students and youth. She has more than 20 works, including poetry, essays, reportage and literary works for young people and children. Her anthology of poetry I Leave My Prayers in Campus won the 1998 Christopher Tang Christian Literature Award and she won the 1999 Hong Kong Biennial Literary Awards for another collection of poems In the Underground - Collection of Modern Poetry. Her novel for young adults 1.48 Metres was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Prize in the 1998 Christopher Tang Christian Literature Award and the 1999 Hong Kong Biennial Literary Awards.
