Hong Kong Scholarship for Professional Attachment to Public Programmes at Tate Modern 2019 Open for Application

Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) collaborates with Tate Modern of the UK again to launch the ‘Hong Kong Scholarship for Professional Attachment to Public Programmes at Tate Modern 2019’. The Programme provides curatorial attachment opportunity to local potential and experienced curators/ arts managers to further develop their professional skills and network. It is now open for application.

‘Hong Kong Scholarship for Professional Attachment to Public Programmes at Tate Modern 2019’ will offer one attachment place for about 22 weeks on a full-time basis from February to July 2019 in the Public Programme Team at Learning Department of Tate Modern. The actual placement period will be finalised between the selected candidate and the Tate Modern. The selected candidate will attach as assistant curator, contributing to the development, planning, delivery and evaluation of the cross-site public programmes of Tate Modern and Tate Britain, and the strategic partnerships initiative. With the help of Tate Modern, the selected candidate will also have the chance to visit other cultural institutes in order to enrich his/her attachment experience. A bursary of HK$168,000 will be provided to the successful candidate to cover accommodation, transportation, subsistence during the placement period and one economy class return flight ticket.

The said Programme is part of the Arts Administrators’ Training Programme supported by the Home Affairs Bureau. The Programme aims at supporting local arts practitioners with different degree of experience to receive professional training in order to nurture future arts and cultural professionals in Hong Kong and to meet the growing needs of arts talents.

Interested practitioners could refer to the application guidelines and form which are available on the HKADC website: www.hkadc.org.hk or at the HKADC Administration Office (10/F, 1063 King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong). Applications must be submitted and deposited in the collection box at the HKADC Administration Office by 6:00pm on 19 Oct 2018 (Friday) the latest. Applications submitted by post must be postmarked on or before the deadline. Late submission or submission by fax or email will not be processed.
