(HONG KONG, 3 October 2023) In light of the success of the first edition, the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) proudly presents the ARTS • TECH Exhibition 2.0, comprising three unique exhibitions, from October 2023 to April 2024.

Curated by Ng Tsz-kwan, Orlean Lai and Isaac Leung, the three exhibitions will be staged in prominent locations including Sino LuminArt Façade at the harbourfront of Tsimshatsui East, Tai Kwun in Central and SHOWCASE in Landmark South, Wong Chuk Hang to introduce novel interactive arts experiences to the people and visitors of Hong Kong by connecting arts, technology and community in real and virtual spaces.

First of the series - Fill in the Blanks curated by Ng Tsz-kwan, featuring works of artists Tap Chan, Ivy Ma, Ng Tsz-kwan and Zheng Bo, will be shown on Sino LuminArt Façade, the huge LED wall of Tsim Sha Tsui Centre and Empire Centre at the harbourfront of Tsimshatsui East, from 21 October to 12 November 2023.  The works invite audience to discover the meaning in the ‘blanks’ between the two huge digital LED walls and fill in it with imagination.

Following is Orlean Lai's Make & Believe at Tai Kwun from 13 to 28 January 2024. Expanding the theatrical aesthetic into a gallery space, the exhibition as a Gesamtkunstwerk (total work of art) invites active seeing and sensing – piecing images and meanings across scenography into a staged exhibition. Artists create their own work while collectively sculpting one cohesive experience for the audience.

Beyond the Singularity by Isaac Leung seeks to spark discussion on how AI is revolutionising arts and explore how artists perceive and engage AI in creation. The complex interplay of technology and creativity, which mutually influence each other, stands at the heart of the exhibition. Artists of diverse backgrounds will be brought together to experiment and create at the HKADC’s premises - SHOWCASE at Landmark South, Wong Chuk Hang from 16 March to 7 April 2024.

About ARTS • TECH Exhibition 2.0
In line with the government initiatives in promoting the arts tech development in Hong Kong, HKADC launched the first ARTS ‧ TECH Exhibition series in historical sites at Central Market, M7 (7 Mallory Street) and 618 Shanghai Street in 2022 to bring arts tech into the community, allowing the general public to immerse in real and virtual spaces for novel interactive arts experience. The first edition received overwhelming response with more than 40,000 participants and over 200 media coverage.

In light of the success, HKADC organised the ARTS • TECH Exhibition 2.0 this year with a larger scale in prominent locations. The opening exhibition Fill in the Blanks will be held at the Sino LuminArt Façade of Tsim Sha Tsui Centre and Empire Centre at the harbourfront of Tsimshatsui East, aiming to bring an unique audio-visual arts experience to the people and visitors of Hong Kong.
