HKADC relaunches Executive Leadership Development Programme 2024 – Learning Modules

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is pleased to relaunch the Executive Leadership Development Programme – Learning Modules (Executive Programme) in 2024. This exciting programme is tailor-made for local arts leaders and experienced senior executives, with an aim to cultivating more dynamic leadership and foster entrepreneurship. It is designed to empower the arts leaders to ride the waves of challenges and new opportunities -ahead. The application of the Executive Programme is open now. HKADC will provide full subsidy to all eligible successful applicants*.

The Executive Programme, which will be held from February to June 2024 in Hong Kong, will encompass a diverse range of key leadership and management topics, inspiring the participants’ entrepreneurial mindset and management skills, and enhancing their networking capabilities. It also intends to empower the potential and dynamic arts leaders, heading the sustainable development of their arts groups, with the tools and perspectives that they need to be great leaders.

The Executive Programme will comprise seven sessions, approximately 3.5 hours each, with details as follows:

  • Storytelling & Business Networking
  • Leading High Performing Team
  • Developing a Compelling Business Plan
  • Digital Marketing and Communication
  • Great Leaders Talk – Sharing session hosted by renowned business leader
Language: Taught in Cantonese, with supplementary materials in English

In addition to the seven sessions, about two to three outstanding participants, who attain the highest scores on the assignment, will have the exclusive opportunity to take part in a professional coaching session to consult a prominent leader coach regarding their professional development, operational and management plans of their arts organisation.

The Executive Programme is taught by the renowned faculty members from Executive Education of HKU Business School. HKADC will support a maximum of 30 eligible arts leaders and experienced senior executives in the arts and cultural sector to participate in the Executive Programme. Participants who complete the Executive Programme will receive HKADC’s full funding for the related course fee and a certificate awarded by Executive Education of HKU Business School*.

Arts leaders, senior executives of arts organisations, and experienced arts administrators who will take up senior leadership roles and/or are ready to develop their organisations are welcome to submit their applications. Applicant must submit and complete an online application via the designated link (link: https://bit.ly/eldp2024lm-form) by 6:00pm on 21 January 2024 (Sunday) the latest. Late submissions or submissions via means other than the mentioned above will not be processed.

*Remarks:

  • Successful participants of the Executive Programme will have to pay a deposit fee of HK$2,000 to HKADC by cheque before the Executive Programme commences.
  • HKADC will refund the Executive Programme’s deposit fee of HK$2,000 if the successful participants successfully complete not less than six out of the seven modules. The calculation of the attendance rate is subject to the attendance record of Executive Education of HKU Business School.
  • HKADC reserves its rights in absolute discretion regarding the subsidy of the selected participants.
