Commissioned by Hong Kong Arts Development Council, The Art School invited Brett Jones, art critic from Melbourne, Manray Hsu, art curator from Taipei, Xu Bing, acclaimed Chinese artist, and Dr. Gao Minglu, renowned scholar of contemporary Chinese art, to take part in the "Residency Project for International Renowned Visual Artists". During their residency, a series of workshops, tour, talks forums and exhibition were held, focusing on the recent development of contemporary Chinese Art in its cross-cultural context and Hong Kong's position in the international art scene. This book contains some transcripts of the events they held and hope to provide a sketch of Hong Kong's art scene from their global perspectives.
