Directory of Teaching Artists
Disclaimer to Data Users/Visitors

The Directory of Teaching Artists ("the Directory") is established by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC) on its website for access, reference and use by members of the public ("Data Users"). It serves as a free of charge information platform for Data Users to search for Teaching Artists.

The Teaching Artists ("Teaching Artists") are Hong Kong resident individuals, Hong Kong established companies or a Hong Kong resident individual committing to the Terms of Provision of the Directory as primary personal obligor of a designated organisation and in each case carrying out arts education activities and the sole purpose of the Directory is for the ADC to assist the community to access this information. All information in the Directory is provided by Teaching Artists and is for reference only. The ADC only reviews the submitted information for consistency and conformity with ADC's objectives of providing the Directory to facilitate contact of the general public with Teaching Artists and the ADC is not responsible for any review or selection of content in advance, and does not individually verify the information provided by the Teaching Artists.

Responsibility for the content of entries appearing in the Directory (including hyperlinks to Teaching Artists' own web sites) rests solely with the Teaching Artists. The placement of such entries does not constitute a recommendation or endorsement by the ADC of the entry of any Teaching Artist and the Teaching Artist is solely responsible for any representations made in connection with its entry.

The ADC does not accept responsibility for any loss damage, however caused (including through negligence) which Data Users may directly or indirectly suffer in connection with the use of the Directory or any linked site, nor does ADC accept any responsibility for any such loss arising out of Data Users' use of or reliance on information contained on or accessed through the Directory or any such linked site.

To the extent permitted by law, any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied into these terms and conditions is hereby excluded.

Data Users must make their own assessment of the reliability of the information and are under their own responsibility as regards any use made of the information by them. The ADC strives to maintain the accuracy and the comprehensiveness of the content, but does not guarantee that it is error-free, without any defects or up-to-date, and the ADC is therefore not liable to indemnify or otherwise compensate any negative consequences or losses.

Any collaboration between Data Users and Teaching Artists is the exclusive concern of the parties concerned. Data Users are responsible for their own risks, responsibilities and consequences arising from any co-operation and the ADC disclaims and is entirely not liable for any consequential indemnifications and compensation, loss and damages, and legal responsibilities arising from or attributable thereto.
