Arts practitioners and arts groups who received a postal circular from ADC are cordially invited to complete the Reply Form, while other artists/arts groups housing in industrial buildings may download the Reply Form below and response to us. The first phase of the project is to collect basic information such as name of organization/individual, address of the occupied industrial units. Feedbacks from arts practitioners and arts groups are crucial for random sampling in the second phase, which aims to reflect the actual occupancy of industrial buildings, the potential demand and considerations on using industrial building space for arts and creative activities.
Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC) is concerned about the impact of the recently introduced industrial building revitalising policy on the arts and cultural sector, and aware of the worries of arts groups/practitioners. Hence, ADC has started the project “Survey on the Current Status of Industrial Buildings for Arts Activities and Future Demand” hoping to examine the status and difficulties of the occupants while housing in industrial buildings. Result of the survey will be forwarded to relevant bureaus as their references. Meanwhile, the ADC organizes a public forum themed “Creative Space in Industrial Buildings” to facilitate discussion and understanding between the government and arts groups/practitioners.
The ADC is currently recruiting experienced professional in the music, dance, xiqu, drama, literary arts, visual arts, film and media arts, arts administration, arts criticism and arts education fields to be ADC examiners. The ADC will select appropriate applicants based on their professional background, experience and credentials. Interested parties please fill in the attached application form for ADC examiners and send it back to ADC. For enquiries, please contact Ms Li at 2820-1092.
