Venice Architecture Biennale is the most spectacular and influential architecture exhibition in the world. To ride on the first and successful debut presentation in Venice Biennale 2006 and subsequent participation in 2008, HKIA is collaborating with HKADC in the continued participation in the Venice Biennale 12th International Architectural Exhibition 2010 in Venice.

Funded by the Home Affairs Bureau, the ADC, in collaboration with the British Council and The Sage Gateshead, is pleased to launch for the first time The Sage Gateshead Internship Programme. The Programme aims at nurturing aspired local arts practitioners. Application is now open till 6:30pm, 7 December 2009.

Fresh Wave 2010 - Local Competition Section, a short film making contest organized by the ADC is officially open. A press conference is held 8 January 2010 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre to announce its details and introduce the shortlisted candidates. Fresh Wave 2010 is composed of two major events, namely the Local Competition Section and the International Short Film Festival. The Local Competition Section, formerly known as "The 5th Fresh Wave Short Film Competition", was first introduced in 2005, with an aim to nurture local young talents in film making and to provide them with a platform to create and showcase their works.
