Hong Kong Scholarship on the Clore Leadership Programme 2014/15

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC) is partnering with the UK Clore Leadership Programme (CLP) to offer the “Hong Kong Scholarship on the Clore Leadership Programme”. The Scholarship is funded by the Home Affairs Bureau with the aim to support arts practitioners with leadership potential to undertake a series of tailor-made leadership training programmes in the United Kingdom to strengthen their leadership skills and broaden their international exposure. Outstanding and talented local art practitioners with leadership potential are welcome to apply for the Scholarship.

The successful Scholar(s) will engage with Fellows of the CLP in two mandatory residential leadership courses from 22 September to 3 October 2014 and 22 June to 2 July 2015, and undertake an 8-week secondment and meet with the mentor between April and July 2015. The Scholar(s) should expect to dedicate 4 months to the programme. The successful Scholar(s) will also have the opportunity to apply for a research grant to conduct an in-depth research project under the supervision of a Higher Education Institute based in the UK.

The total value of the Scholarship is £22,500 per award of which a budget of up to £14,000 will be made available to each Scholar to cover the cost of tuition and conference fees, accommodation and subsistence allowance, and two return airfares. The CLP will also cover the cost of accommodation, tuition and meals at two fortnight long residential courses of the programme and access to a mentor who will be a senior figure in the cultural field in the UK.
