The Arts Development Fund (hereafter “the Fund”) administered by the Home Affairs Bureau aims at advancing cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and other places, promoting local arts and culture, and enhancing Hong Kong’s international image.

A new measure has been implemented to facilitate local arts groups and practitioners in undertaking cultural exchange to the Mainland. Agency/consultancy fee is added as a new fundable item under the Fund. Individual/organisation applicants who have a genuine need to engage agents/consultants/intermediaries familiar with the Mainland’s regulations and procedures for coordinating cultural and art exchange activities in the Mainland may be provided with grants to cover the expenses on agency/consultancy fees.
