Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) hereby announces the Third Round of the Arts-in-School Partnership Scheme. In addition to local small and medium-sized arts organisations, individual artists can team up as a party of two to four to apply for the Scheme starting from the Third Round. Each applicant can apply for partnership with a maximum of two schools under the same round.
The Scheme aims to foster collaboration between local arts organisations/artists and schools, promote better use of school premises by facilitating the schools to open their facilities to arts organisations/artists for artistic creation and various arts activities, and bring arts into the school campus.
The Scheme is now open for applications by local small and medium-sized arts organisations or co-partnership application submitted by two to four individual artists. Upon collection and assessment of the proposals from arts organisations/artists, an invitation will be sent to all local primary, secondary and special schools. HKADC will match the arts organisations/artists with the schools according to their respective applications, including the proposed usage, location preference and the schools’ requests etc. Each arts organisation/artist may be partnered with a maximum of two schools, with priority given to arts organisations that have participated or are participating in the Arts-in-School Partnership Scheme. Successful applicants will receive subsidies covering hiring charges and arts activities coordination based on the actual costs of all expenditure items, and will start their partnership with the matched schools between July and September 2020.
