The number of programmes, performances, attendance and box office income grew in 2017/18*. The figures are as follows:
- More programmes of each art form were held with an overall increment of 4% compared to previous year, to 5,160 programmes in total. Growth in Dance programmes stood out with a 27% increase observed;
- A total of 9,037 performances reached an attendance of 3.42 million. The two figures, which observed an increase of 4% and 3% respectively from the previous year, was attributed to the Dance, Theatre, Variety and Pop Show programmes;
- Total box office income was $527 million, increased by 4% from previous year. The growth was gathered from Theatre, Dance and Music programmes, yet part of the growth was offset by the drop in Variety and Pop shows.
