The “Arts-in-School Partnership Scheme” invites interested arts organisations / individual co-partnership artists and all primary, secondary and special schools in Hong Kong to submit their applications respectively. HKADC will match the arts organisations/artists with the schools according to their respective applications, including the proposed usage, location preference and the schools’ requests etc. Each applicant can apply for matching with a maximum of two partners, with priority given to schools and arts organisations that have participated or are participating in the Arts-in-School Partnership Scheme.
Partnering arts organisations/artists will be provided a subsidy to hire the facilities of partnering schools during non-school hours, weekends and school holidays for no less than 300 hours per year. Partnering schools will provide basic administrative and operational support as well as storage space for the arts organisations/artists. The Scheme encourages partnering arts organisations/artists to engage students of its partnering school in different arts programmes and activities, e.g. creation, production, rehearsals, guided appreciation etc., to broaden students’ horizon. The embracement of elements engaging the community is appreciated.
Successful matched partners will receive subsidies covering hiring charges, arts activities, and an allowance for school based on the actual costs of all expenditure items.
Through the implementation of the Scheme, HKADC would like to achieve the following objectives:
|-||Optimising usage of school premises and facilities during non-school hours, weekends and school holidays while at the same time, addressing the demand for arts space and rehearsal venues of the arts sector; the Scheme will facilitate school operators to open their premises and facilities for partnering arts organisations/artists to organise arts activities such as rehearsals, arts classes, arts workshops etc.;|
